Gloucestershire 14, Gloucester (Dalton & Hamer, page 35)

Denomination: penny, scarcity: Scarce
14. O: ST. MARY DE LODE, with two buttresses and spout added.
R: THE ARMS OF GLOCESTER. Ottley reverse B.

Scarce.

Nos. 12-20. In the nineteen century Ottley engraved a new reverse die B, and
using the obverse dies by Wyon, struck a set in white metal, with the exception
of No. 3 (St. Mary de Lode, without the buttresses), as this die has been
altered by Wyon, who added the buttresses and spout, and No. 14 (St. Bartholomew's
Hospital), the die of which broke. Nos. 14 and 19 are known in copper bronze.

Also struck in silver (page 556).

There's an unclear note in Corrigenda (page 552) concerning No. 14.
