     E: PROMISSORY | PENNY TOKEN | ISSUED BY | THOMAS WELCH | SECOND TROOP | 1799.
        In six lines. Similar to No. 27, but the letters are a different size, and
        there is a fasces and laurel branch crossed above the legend.
     E: (ARMED TO PRESERVE | OUR LIVES PROPERTY) (AND CONSTITUTION | AGAINST 
        FOREIGN) (AND DOMESTIC | ENEMIES). Divided into three compartments by
        military trophies.
